It’s been noted that movies such as Black Swan, Requiem for a Dream, and Christopher Nolan’s Inception have all been influenced by Satoshi Kon’s work, most notably Perfect Blue.
So for those looking to pay homage to Kon or just simply would like to enjoy great anime films on the big screen, The Philadelphia Film Society has curated an anime series honoring Kon’s work. “Lost in Animation” that kicked-off in September with “The First Slam Dunk.” Don’t fret because there’s plenty of showtimes and films available, all of which will be screened at the Film Society Center (1412 Chestnut).
