Bake’n Bacon Launches “Porktoberfest” With Special Menu Items Including Chocolate Covered Bacon, Bacon Beer, and More

Where are my pork lovers at? Well, for those that love a great pork dish, Bake’n Bacon (1148 S. 11th  St.) is inviting foodies out for the launch of Porktoberfest. Just as it sounds, this celebration of pork includes a pork board, inventive sandwiches, chocolate-covered bacon, bacon beer, and more.

Bake’n Bacon is Philly’s only bacon-themed Restaurant, so it’s only fitting that it’s home to Porktoberfest which runs now through through Halloween. Menu items will include:

  • Pork Board – loaded mac & cheese with smoked chipotle tomato sauce and bacon crumbles, bacon burnt ends, caramel ribs, bacon grilled cheese with house-made smoked chipotle tomato sauce, hand-dipped chocolate covered bacon, and a peach bacon chutney paired with crostini.
  • Bake’n Bacon Triple Bacon Burger -wagyu beef, thick-cut bacon, and bacon burnt ends paired with a homemade bacon-infused BBQ sauce, onion straws, and pickled jalapenos, served with a side of bacon cheese fries
  • Peach Bacon Burger – wagyu beef, thick-cut bacon, and peach bacon chutney
  • Bacon Lobster Alfredo – linguine tossed in garlic butter alfredo, smoked pork belly burnt ends, bacon crumbles, and lobster
  • Bacon Lobster Roll -features lobster tossed in garlic butter and topped with bacon slices and bacon crumbles
  • Sweet Fries- Bake’n Bacon’s signature fries tossed in a bacon caramel sauce
  • Chocolate covered strawberries with bacon shavings

In addition to Porktoberfest, Bake’n Bacon is also debuting it’s all-new and a second floor Halloween experiencecalled Boojie Boo which features a two-sided fireplace, 25-foot ceilings, black and white walls, and several large crystal chandeliers. The experience will be decked out for Halloween with oversized scary creatures, skulls, spider webs and more, and anyone showing up in costume throughout the month will receive a $10 gift certificate to be used during a future visit.

“We adore Halloween, so we wanted to deck out our new second floor lounge to create a spooky dining and lounging experience unlike anything else in Philadelphia,” said Bake’n Bacon’s Chef/owner Justin Coleman. “The space turned out beautifully, and we’re really excited to finally host guests there after spending all summer building it.”

As for drinks, guests will also get to enjoy halloween-themed drinks include Vampire Venom Margarita – a raspberry margarita with fresh juices ($17); Bite Me features Rumchata, vanilla vodka and coconut ($16); Final Destination includes tequila, Hennessy, melon liqueur, apple pucker sprite ($18); Decay combines white rum, lime juice, agave, blackberry puree ($16); Bourbon Nightmare features bourbon, apple cider, bitters, maple syrup ($16); Dragon’s Blood is a blood red mimosa with dragon fruit ($12); and there’s also a Scorpio Sangria ($14). The restaurant will feature Evil Genius’ “Tast’e Bacon” ale (5% abv) on tap and in cans, with $5 drafts and $12 four-packs to go of the strawberry, chocolate, and bacon smoked ale.
