Vientiane Bistro Is Hosting Their Annual “Adventurous Eats” Featuring Chicken Hearts, Fertilized Chicken Eggs & More
Attention adventurous foodies, this Halloween Vientiane Bistro (2537 Kensington Ave.) will be hosting their annual Adventurous Eats event that will feature rare dishes that are not for the squeamish.
Taking place every Halloween, the Adventurous Eats menu includes some rare delicacies from the Southeast Asian culture. Guests will get to try dishes in a family style dinner setting to enjoy items such as baby frog legs, fertilized baby chicken eggs, and more.
“I started this idea back in 2014 to present guest with the experience of foods my parents would normally eat but are too afraid to add on the menu. We also had our regulars who would ask “ Hey what’s mom cooking back there?!” states owner Sonny Phanthavong. “So for that reason, I developed this dining experience, Adventurous Eats. This event also gives me an opportunity to be creative and share our family’s recipe without holding back,” Sonny added.
Adventurous Eats is $60 per person and is BYOB with a 6 pm start time. Reservations are required and can be made by calling 267-703-8199. Note this is a cash-only event and Venmo is accepted.
