Premium Barbershop Ethos GSFM is Hosting a Vinyl Listening Social Where Guests Can Bring Their Favorite Records
Vinyls are a classic and timeless way for music lovers to enjoy their favorite records as well as provide an aura of nostalgia. For those looking to connect with likeminded music lovers, Ehos GSFM (339 N Broad St.) is hosting a vinyl listening social where guests are encouraged to bring their favorite vinyls and discuss what it means to them.
The event will take place at Ehos GSM Sunday March 12th from 1-3 pm. “I was inspired by the Apple TV series ‘Home’. There were 2 episodes where community libraries were created inside personal homes. It had always been the intention to use our large grooming lounge inside Ethos (GSFM) as a space where people could gather, and this show rekindled that desire. So, with us building out our record and book library for the community I thought why don’t we just invite the community here to share our favorite records with each other? Thus, the Vinyl Listening Social was born,” states Ehos Co-Founder Jonathan Jacobs.
Guests will be encourage to introduce themselves, what neighborhood they belong to, what record everyone will be listening to why they love it. “It should be an awesome way to network and get to know people from around the city,” Jonathan adds.
Vinyl Social is free to attend and will be open to public with limited space, so “it’s first come first to enjoy,” the event states. The event is also BYOB with some light fare. Reservations can be made here on Eventbrite.
“Events bring a community together and certainly, smaller, more intimate events are just what every community needs, especially post covid. The barbershop has always been a community space, and we are looking forward to supporting the community with this event and more like this in the future,” Jonathan explains.
