Philly is Now Allowing Food Trucks to Return With an Order and Leave Restriction
Just recently we posted an article about food trucks being banned in Philadelphia. The vast majority couldn’t understand why. I mean it’s outside and you order as you would any other take out during the pandemic right? Well, it looks like the city is reversing its stance.
Effective immediately, food trucks will be allowed to operate in the city. However, patrons must order and leave. So no hanging around or eating around the trucks. Well, for the most part we order and leave anyway right?
Philadelphia Health Commissioner Thomas Farley added that patrons must also order in advance and and pick up when the food is ready. In addition food truck lines must be limited to 10 and customers must wear masks and practice social distancing while in line.
Although, food trucks and restaurants are still not permitted to have seating for customers, this is another small step towards opening the city. Philadelphia is still holding on to the June 4th date to lift the stay-at-home order.
