Try Cilvil War Era Food at The Mütter Museum’s Refreshment Saloon

Apparently the Mütter Museum takes their reenactments seriously.  As part of their current ongoing Civil War exhibit “Broken Bodies, Suffering Spirits,” which highlights the Civil War-era medicine, attendees will be able to try Civil War chow this Saturday. from 10 am-2 pm.

Guests will be able to try authentic recipes including treats made specifically for the local iconic sweet spots Franklin Fountain and Shane Confectionery. The event will take place in the Mütter Museum’s Refreshment Saloon where staff will be in full get-ups to represent the doctors, soldiers, and confectioners of the era.  For tickets and more information check out the Mütter Museum’s official site.
