Jon Stewart Disses Ryne Sandberg & Cheesesteaks

Jon Stewart ripped into a report that Phillie’s Manager Ryne Sandberg fell ill after eating from the Shake Shack in Citi Field, where the Mets play. Jon Stewart who is a Met’s fan took offense and pretty much outlined Philly’s inferiority complex to NYC.

He referred to Ryne as a “jag-off from Philadelphia” with a motive to slander a “great New York Restaurant.” He then goes on to describe the famous Philly Cheesesteak as “..waste beef trimmings covered in liquid cheese.” At the end of the day we know this is all in jest, but for foodies like us this is borderline offensive to the great American cheesesteak.
