Hosted by the Old City Arts Association since its 1991 inception, First Friday is a unique cultural event in Philadelphia and one of the city’s most popular evening escapes. Held the first Friday night of each month, this arts community “open house” brings together city dwellers and suburbanites, contemporary arts and antique collectors, aficionados of classical and contemporary design, and theater and performance buffs.
Movie Night at the Betsy Ross House: Evil Brain from Outer Space
June 5th | 5-7:30 pm | Betsy Ross House
Starting May 1, join the Betsy Ross House for the return of the First Friday favorite, Movie Night Under the Stars & Stripes! May through October, kick back, relax, and enjoy a selection of cult horror classics from the 1950s and 60s in the historic courtyard. Be sure to arrive early for special after hours tours of the House starting at 5 pm.

If you are looking for an exclusive, unforgettable experience during your visit, purchase tickets to Independence After Hours before they sell out! The only tour of its kind, Independence After Hours takes you on a realistic journey back to 1776. After an 18th-century-inspired dinner at historic City Tavern, and a visit by Thomas Jefferson, the group sneaks into Independence Hall where they eavesdrop on Jefferson, John Adams, and Benjamin Franklin discussing the Declaration of Independence.

The Super Run is a national series of events that partners with non-profit organizations to put on superhero themed events to help raise funds and awareness for their cause. We provide logistical support, site selection, volunteer management and more. We do the heavy lifting, your organization just needs one coordinator to be the primary contact for that local event and the primary recruiter of additional volunteers.
June 6th | 11am-4 pm | Spruce St. Harbor Park
Art Star Pop Up Market will be back at Spruce Street Harbor Park this Summer Season! The Market will take place every Saturday from May 23rd – September 26th from 11-4pm and will feature the work of up to 20 curated art + craft vendors. Each participating vendor will be set up al fresco style under a tree lined walkway within the popular park.
June 6th | 9:30 | Theatre of Living Arts
Philly hip hop legend Beanie Sigel makes his return to the spot light at the TLA. With a string of hits and several street classic albums under his belt it will be a night no hip hop fan should miss.
June 7th | 11 am – 5 pm | Spruce St. Harbor Park
A rotating selection of hundreds of different vendors from R5 Production’s bi-annual “Punk Rock Flea Market”. Expect a wide and diverse range of vendors selling vintage goods, local crafts, used records, bicycles, new apparel, jewelry and lots more. Vendor lists will be posted before every weekend.
June 7th | 7 pm | The Mann Center for Performing Arts
Nine-time Grammy-nominated artist Charlie Wilson is bringing his acclaimed Forever Charlie tour to Philly for an “unforgettable night” at the Mann this summer with special guests KEM and Joe. The party goes down on Sunday, June 7th for a night of R&B, Billboard-topping hits like, “Without You,” “Charlie, Last Name Wilson,” Magic,” “There Goes My Baby,” “Can’t Live Without You,” “You Are,” “Life of the Party” and “My Love Is All I Have.”
