Oyster Fest Returns to Reading Terminal Market for an After-Hours Tasting Experience With More Than a Dozen Varieties of Oysters

Reading Terminal Market is hosting Oyster Fest, an annual ticketed after-hours event dedicated to East Coast oysters. The event is presented by Pearl’s Oyster Bar, a Reading Terminal Market merchant, in partnership with Cape Harbor Shellfish. Tickets are on sale now at readingterminalmarket.org.

The event brings together oyster enthusiasts, food lovers and local beverage partners for an evening inside the historic public market. It is open to guests ages 21 and older.

Oyster Fest uses a walk-around tasting format, which organizers say is designed to encourage guests to explore and sample throughout the market. The tasting features more than a dozen varieties of freshly shucked East Coast oysters, served with house-made mignonettes and other accompaniments. The event also includes live entertainment and food and beverage tastings.

Organizers describe the event as suitable for both experienced oyster lovers and first-timers, and as a one-night-only celebration of oysters, seafood and local culinary traditions.
