3 Local Bars are Putting a New Twist on The Classic Miller High Life With the All-New Rad Life!
If you are from Philly or lived here long enough, chances are you’ve knocked back a few High Life beers. Originally introduced in 1903, the “Champagne of Beers,” quickly became a staple in bars and the go-to beer for blue collar workers.
Now the old school brew is getting a new twist. 3 local bars will now be serving “Rad Life.” This new beer cocktail consists of Miller High Life, grapefruit juice and Campari.
For anyone looking to try a Rad Life, you can find them at Prohibition Taproom (501 N 13th St.), as well as The Lunar Inn (3124 Richmond St.) and upon request at Martha (2113 E York St.).
However, if you want to try some Rad Life at home, maybe ad some pizzaz to your next function you can follow the easy-to-make recipe below:
Rad Life:
- 12 oz Miller High Life
- 1.5 oz grapefruit juice
- .75 oz Aperol or Campari
Procedure: Build all ingredients in a pint glass. To enjoy directly in Miller High Life bottle, take a sip to make some room, then pour in other ingredients.
