You Can Drink With Goats and Make S’mores at Philly Goat Project’s BYOB “G.O.A.T Happy Hour”
If you’re looking for the next unique adventure in the city, how does drinking with goats sound? No we’re not talking sports figures, we’re talking actual goats. On July 9th from 5:30 pm-7:30 pm, the Philly Goat Project (The Farm At Awbury, 6336 Ardleigh St.) will be hosting a BYOB G.O.A.T Happy hour where guests can hang out with goats while sipping on their favorite drinks.
In addition to petting and cuddling these awesome goats, guest will also get to enjoy a fire pit with S’Mores as well as win some cool goat art in their goat art raffle. This event is 21 and older and costs $35 per ticket. The money raised at the G.O.A.T Happy Hour will go towards helping Philly Goat Project run free community events and mission-focused programming. Tickets can be purchased here.
For those not familiar with Philly Goat, it’s an organization that utilizes goats for community education and engagement. “PGP was created to provide opportunities for urban residents to connect to nature in a dynamic and novel way by using goats. PGP is our country’s first city-based multi-service goat program, providing grazing, animal assisted therapy and wellness events, environmental and educational experiences and community engagement opportunities across many platforms. PGP’s barn is on the grounds of Awbury Arboretum, an historic non-profit program that is free and open to the public 365 days a year. PGP offers a variety of ways that visitors of all capacities and ages can enjoy and experience Goats for the Greater Good.”
