SUMMARY:Tiny Witch
DESCRIPTION:Tiny Witch – a one-witch show \nConceived\, Written and Performed by Izzy Sazak (they/them) \nDirector and Creative Doula- MK Tuomanen (they/them) \nTech Director\, Lighting Designer\, Sound Supervisor\, Emotional Support Human- Newton Buchanan (he/him) \nSpecial thanks to Malik Cherifi (they/them) for giving me The Song. And Tori Lewis (they/them) for being the best cheerleader of all. \nTiny Witch lives in a portal under your pillow. Every night they leave the 7th dimension and appear on Earth to bat away your nightmares with a broom they’ve made from your lost eyelashes. They are here to give a lecture on how to be a good Tiny Witch\, as per the request of the Association of Inter-dimensional Guardians. You might learn a lot from TW; including how to properly woo spiders\, how to slay a Bluebeard\, and how to build an indestructible nightmare-crushing broom. All essential tools for surviving the long predicted\, and much anticipated End Of (colonialpatriarchal)Times. Tiny Witch is an original solo clown performance; part anti-imperialist fantasy\, part stand-up\, all queer witchy sass. \nTiny Witch first premiered at the 2023 Cannonball Festival to great acclaim and enjoyment. \n“It was like Queer Church!”- Izzy’s therapist \n“So fun! I loved the part where you called me out for being from Florida”- some lucky human audience member from Florida (yikes!) \n“It’s rare to see a clown be so sexy”- David\, the human \n“It was scary. But also very funny”- a wise human 5 year-old \nFebruary 22 – Saturday – 7pm \nFebruary 23 – Sunday – Noon

SUMMARY:Conquistawhore
DESCRIPTION:Conquistawhore \nwritten & performed by Rachel O’Hanlon Rodriguez \nFeaturing live music played by Chris Sannino\, Emily Schuman\, and Evan Raines. \nDirected by Cat Ramirez with artistic support provided by Die-Cast. \nLegend has it The Conquistawhore drinks her weight in whiskey\, brawls her own vagina (because he makes terrible decisions)\, and roams the Wild West – or is that the Main Line? Their trials weave a story of manifest destiny – a calling to take the land back\, one cis-white man at a time. But they discover it’s hard to move forward if you’re stuck in the past. This bawdy and poetic solo show takes audiences on a ride where cultural wounds become personal afflictions and where vaginas can grow up to be cowboys. \nFebruary 21- Friday – 7pm \nFebruary 22 – Saturday – 9pm \nVENUE \nPlays & Players Theatre (3rd floor\, no elevator) \n1714 Delancey St. \nPhiladelphia\, PA 19103 \n“The show tackles a great deal of emotional thoughts and stories\, focusing around gender and sex/sexuality. It handles them all with a care\, nuance\, and humor that is wonderful to experience.” Frank Schierloh\, Queer Reviewed
