SUMMARY:Julbord Dinner
DESCRIPTION:Start your Christmas celebrations by indulging in a Swedish holiday dinner prepared by Jeffrey A. Miller Hospitality Group. Julbord\, or “Christmas Table\,” is a Scandinavian feast where a wide variety of foods are served buffet style\, or\, as Swedes say\, smörgåsbord. \nA traditional Julbord takes place on December 24th and is one of the highlights of the Christmas celebration for Swedes. Some menu items on a traditional Julbord are remnants of Viking spreads from mid-winter solstice celebrations\, while other originate from the turn of the twentieth century in Sweden. A modern favorite dish\, meatballs\, was only added in the 1970s! Regardless of the food served\, the most important and consistent element of Julbord is gathering with loved ones and sharing a meal during this special holiday season! \nTry out this incredible Swedish tradition for yourself at ASHM’s annual Julbord Dinner. The spread includes Swedish favorites like Christmas ham\, several types of herring\, meatballs\, salads\, and bread. A selection of ASHM Christmas Market craft vendors will also be open from 5-7 pm\, so you can shop while you enjoy a drink and some hors d’oeuvres before dinner. Book a table and invite family and friends to join you! Doors open at 5 pm for shopping; dinner will be served at 7 pm.
