No worries we took the liberty to research pet hotels and sitters in the area.   After scouring reviews and visiting facilities ourselves we came up with a top 5 list to ease your planning and help you find the perfect service.  So now you can be worry free on that beach you’ve been dreaming about.

If you’re headed to a 5 star resort for vacation it’s only right that your pet stays at a 5 star hotel as well.  Whether cat or dog, Philadelphia Pet Villa & Hotels offers pet rooms that are swankier than most human places I’ve stayed in.  Pets can stay for a week at a time if need be and this spot offers all the amenities they could ask for.  This place offers services such as vet visits, grooming, wrinkle maintenance, group play, and scheduled treats like pupcicles & frozen yogurt.  Believe it or not this is only a fraction of the services they offer.  You can even get photo updates of your pet sent to you while you are away. Services are costume to your pet’s needs and the website allows you to see your estimated costs as you choose them.    We believe this place is so awesome the hardest part will probably be getting your pet to leave.

For those that prefer for their pets to stay at home, Top Tails is the perfect solution.  Since they opened their doors in 2005 Top Tails have won a score of awards and accolades for their services as one of Philly’s top pet sitters. This pet sitting and dog walking operation is ran out of Main St. in Manayunk and offers some of the best rates in the city.  If you are planning a vacation Top Tails will send one of their trained sitters to your house and watch your pet for up to 7 days.  Their deluxe vacation package includes 60 minute morning and evening visits and 45 minute midday visits to ensure your pet is safe and comfortable. For cat owners, Top Tails even scoops and changes litter boxes upon request.  This place offers just about every service you can think of to give you peace of mind while on vacation.

Dog School

Sorry felines this one is strictly for the pooches.  For those who may be traveling but only for a day trip, say to the shore this is a great solution. The Dog School offers cage free daycare service for dogs so your pup will start making new BFFs in no time. Their facilities are like one big playground for pups with ramps and cubbyholes for dogs to run around and play.  The staff is very well trained and will also ensure your dog is taken for a walk.  Conveniently located in three locations in Northern Liberties, Center City, & Rittenhouse there is no excuse to not check them out.

The Groove Hound

This is another dog only facility.  However, The Groove Hound offers both daycare service and overnight service as well.  This place offers an awesome outside playground for dogs as well as onsite grooming service.  Feel at ease knowing that your dog will be both exercised and clean when you pick him/her up.  With a 10:1 dog to human ratio, rest assured your dog will get the attention it deserves.  As for overnight packages including weekends, The Groove Hound has limited space (about 10 spots) for dogs spending the night.  They do encourage that these spots be reserved for regular attendees so we encourage those who travel frequently to sign up to this facility to better ensure a spot.

Monster Minders

Both felines and pooches are spoiled by Monster Minders.  No matter when or how long you will be vacationing, Monster Minders offers overnight and vacation packages.  However, the twist is that this service comes to your home instead of having to drop your pet off.  This allows your pet to remain in their natural environment and be attended to and walked while your away.  Depending on your pets needs this service is as flexible as they come so each service is tailored made.  Even if you want a staff member to spend the night at your home with your pet, Monster Minders can make it happen. As a heads up they do encourage to sign up in advance receive the perks of  overnight and vacation packages.  However, if you are able to plan your vacation ahead of time then planning your pet sitting service ahead of time should not be an issue.
