The Schuylkill Center is Hosting an Immersive Experience of “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” That Takes Place in the Woods
We’ve pretty much all seen live plays and for the most part they take place in a theatre. However, for those looking for a truly immersive experience The Schuylkill Center for Environmental Education (8480 Hagy’s Mill Rd.) will be hosting an immersive experience of A Midsummer’s Night Dream in the woods produced by Indecorous Theatre Productions.
“Experience Shakespeare’s beloved comedy of magic and true love as you never have before in this immersive production in the woods,” Schulykill Center describes.
The audience will get to experience the play’s production in the woods and walk along a trail to watch the tale unfold as well as become participants in the play. “When four lovers face a deadly choice, they steal away in the dead of night into the enchanted woods of Athens. Magic, mayhem, and hilarity ensue when they get tangled in the fight between the King and Queen of the fairies. Follow the lovers down the magical forest trail at the Schuylkill Center, help Puck play tricks on the mortals, rehearse with the Rude Mechanicals, and present offerings to Titania, the Fairy Queen, herself in this interactive production where you are a part of the story,” Schuylkill Center adds.
The performances will take place
Friday July 11th at 6pm
Saturday July 12th at 1 pm & 6pm
Friday July 18th at 6 pm
Saturday July 18th at 6 pm
The performance is approximately 90 minutes without an intermission. Guests will walk and stand along a trail starting in our amphitheater and ending in Founder’s Grove, with stops that include grass, trail, paved, and dirt surfaces, so please wear appropriate footwear.
