Reading Terminal Market is kicking off the school year with special deals and giveaways for area teachers and returning college students. The historic public market is holding Teacher Tuesdays every Tuesday in September to celebrate educators and a College Welcome Weekend on September 17 and 18 to welcome new and returning students to the city and the Market.
Teacher Tuesdays will begin on September 7 and happen every Tuesday in September from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. Philadelphia educators – and those visiting from other areas – can show their school ID and receive their choice of a free reusable Reading Terminal shopping tote or thermal bag. A special 20% discount for Reading Terminal Market gift cards is also available for teachers where they can purchase $25 gift cards for only $20.
College Welcome Weekend will be held on Friday, September 17 and Saturday, September 18 from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. Students can show their school ID and receive their choice of a complimentary Reading Terminal Market reusable tote or thermal shopping bag. A special 20% discount for Reading Terminal Market gift cards is also available to students where they can purchase $25 gift cards for only $20. Merchants throughout the Market will celebrate students by wearing their personal school colors.
