International Whiskey Day is around the corner and to celebrate this special holiday two popular names in the Philly food and drink scene are joining forces for a very special pop-up filled with speciality cocktails, whiskey themed- menu items and live music to top things off.
The Ranstead Room and Fette Sau are collaborating to in celebration of International Whiskey Day. This event will be “open house style” and free to attend with pay-as-you-go options. The celebration will take place Sunday, March 26th from 5pm – 8pm at Fette Sau (1208 Frankford Ave.) and will feature 10 special cocktails curated by Nico Diaz of The Ranstead Room and Emery Greenfield of Fette Sau. Reps from both Resurgent and the Republic National Distributing Company will also be on-hand to interact with guests and answer all whiskey related questions.
For foodies expect speciality options such as a pastrami sandwich with whiskey mustard and sauerkraut as well as a buttermilk pound cake with mixed berry compote and whiskey whipped cream. Whiskey mustard will be readily available for those looking to try it with other food items.
“Fette Sau, Ranstead Room, and our marketing teams thought a cocktail collaboration would be fun between our restaurants, as Fette Sau specializes in whiskey and Ranstead Room is known for their amazing cocktails. We wanted to get together for a Whiskey Day event,” states Fette Sau General Manager Nicole Kelly.
In addition to the food and whiskey cocktails, this special pop-up will also feature live music from Drew Nugent and the Midnight Society from 5pm – 8pm to entertain the crowd.
