The Queen of Hip Hop Soul, Mary J. Blige is Will Be the Headliner for Wawa’s Made in America Concert!
Looks like Philly is making a strong case to be the “place to be” this coming 4th of July weekend. As with every year Wawa’s Welcome America Festival draws tens-of thousands of people to check out the festivities, concerts, and of course fireworks display. However, this year the main act may out shine the fireworks as the Queen of Hip Hop Soul, Mary J. Blige will take center stage.
The festival itself will run June 29th through July 4th with the concert taking place on the Benjamin Franklin Parkway July 4th at 7 pm. The fireworks will commence promptly at 9:30 pm. The No Drama singer won’t be the only one belting tunes from the Rocky Steps, the Philly POPS along with Mandy Gonzalez of “Hamilton” will also be entertaining the crowd.
Prior to the concert make sure you head down to Independence Hall at 10 am, as the city plans to honor the legendary Philly R&B group Boyz II Men with a “Celebration of Freedom.”
