The Philadelphia Union are Hosting “Fiesta Futbolera” a Soccer Festival in The Italian Market With 50+ Vendors, Music, & More
Soccer aka Futbol has been grabbing headlines in Philly, more recently with the Club World Cup and the upcoming World Cup in 2026. So for those looking to immerse themselves in a soccer festival, head down to the Italian Market on Sunday, August 17th for Fiesta Futbolera.
Back for its second year, Fiesta Futbolera will be hosted by The Philadelphia Union along with the Mayor’s Office of Latino Engagement, and the Association of Mexican Business Owners of Philadelphia (AEMPHILLY).
The festival will take place from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on 9th Street between Federal Street and Christian and will feature:
- Over 50 food, craft, and service vendors, representing the diversity of Latin America
- A health fair led by the Consulate of Mexico, offering free health screenings and wellness resources to the community
- Live entertainment including DJ sets, traditional dance, and regional music
- A meet & greet with Philadelphia Union players and their official mascot
- Family-friendly activities, raffles, and games.
“Fiesta Futbolera is more than just a celebration of the beautiful game — it’s a celebration of community, culture, and economic opportunity. We bring together Latino entrepreneurs, artists, and families to create an inclusive space where everyone can feel seen, supported, and proud of their roots,” states Gerardo Coronado Benítez the Commercial Corridor Manager for AEMPHILLY.
