The Philadelphia Film Society is Screening Mulholland Drive with a Live Performance by Rebekah Del Rio
Where are the movie buffs? The Philadelphia Film Society is set to screen the award winning film Mulholland Drive. Winner of Best Director (David Lynch) at Cannes as well as Best Film at the Chicago Film Critics Awards, Mulholland Drive is a neo-noir psycho thriller that currently holds an 84% critic and 87% audience rating on Rotten Tomatoes.
If you’re a fan of this film or still looking to catch it, PFS is hosting a screening on April 16th at the Philadelphia Film Center (1412 Chestnut St.) with pre screening performance by the Rebekah Del Rio who has a singing cameo in the film.
The performance starts at 7 pm and tickets to the event are $25 ($20 for PFS Members) and are currently available for purchase on Filmadelphia.org.
About the film:
After winning a small town jitterbug contest, Betty Elms (Naomi Watts) arrives in Hollywood to discover that it truly is the land of dreams. When she isn’t nailing auditions, she acts as an amateur sleuth for the helpless bombshell Rita (Laura Harring) who appears to have lost her memory from an accident.
