The Philadelphia Film Society Announces Dates for the 33rd Philadelphia Film Festival Featuring 100+ Films Over 11 Days
Who is ready to put some fall events on their calendar? Well, if you love movies then you’ll be excited to hear that the Philadelphia Film Society (PFS) recently announced their 33rd Philadelphia Film Festival will take place October 17-27th.
That’s right get ready for over 100 films over 11 days. The Philadelphia Film Festival, presented by the Philadelphia Film Society, is the region’s premier film event. Throughout the year, the Film Society’s artistic team scours the world’s most prestigious film festivals – from Sundance to Berlin, Cannes to Toronto – for the year’s most highly anticipated, critically acclaimed, and innovative films. While featuring celebrated films from established directors, the Philadelphia Film Festival also provides a platform for emerging filmmakers to showcase their work.
In addition to the screenings of more than 100 outstanding films, shown on 9 screens in 3 theaters, the Philadelphia Film Festival presents a range of Red Carpet presentations and special events, including filmmaker Q&A sessions, receptions, and industry networking opportunities.

Four badge levels are offered – Weekend, All Access, VIP, and Student – that provide no-ticket entry, priority admission to screenings, and exclusive perks at the Festival Lounge.
