The Kimpton Hotel Monaco is Hosting the October Pupkin Pawty and Pet Costume Contest
Trick-or-Treating isn’t just for the kiddos. If you have a four legged friend then you may want to treat them this week at a special events for pups.
In celebration of National Adopt a Dog month this October, Kimpton Hotel Monaco Philadelphia (433 Chestnut St.) invites locals and hotel guests alike to partake in the October Pupkin Pawty, on Thursday, Oct. 26 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Guests can register now on Eventbrite.
In partnership with local no-kill animal shelter Saved Me, hotel staff will host a spooktacular celebration where pets can dress in their spookiest, silliest or most creative costumes for a chance to win a one-night staycation at the Hotel Monaco valued at $700, including the hotel’s “Bark Package,” complete a custom dog bandana, pet care kit and 10% off walking services through Wag!. Pets and their humans can enter the costume contest with a donation of $5 to Saved Me, and the winner will be chosen through the hotel’s Instagram page after the event.
Saved Me will bring adoptable four-legged friends to the event and will have a photo booth to capture the fun, and Doggie Style Pets, one of the hotel’s favorite local pet shops, will be setting up a treat bar to reward well behaved pups and will also have two gift baskets up for raffle. And finally, to mark the occasion, Caricatures & Silhouettes by Emily Byrne will be creating donation-based, personalized caricatures of pet attendees. This event is weather dependent.
