The Inaugural Philly Arts & Music Festival is Coming to The Navy Yard Featuring Trombone Shorty & Orleans Avenue

A brand-new festival showcasing Philadelphia’s robust arts, music, and food culture is coming to the Philadelphia Navy Yard this September! Music and art lovers alike will descend upon the Marine Parade Grounds in the Navy Yard for the first-ever Philly Arts & Music Festival, a day-long festival featuring Philly’s best local musical acts, an artisan village of local vendors, and culinary delights from Philly’s famed food trucks, on Saturday, September 24. Tickets for the Philly Arts and Music Festival start at just $30, while supplies last, and go on sale Thursday, August 11 at 10 a.m. at thepamfestival.com.

The festival will have a focus on local musical acts and artists but will culminate with a performance by nationally renowned musician Trombone Shorty & Orleans Avenue. Fresh off his 2022 Grammy win for Album of the Year, Trombone Shorty & Orleans Avenue is sure to captivate the crowd with an explosive performance that blurs the line between funk, soul, R&B, and psychedelic funk.

Together with Streets Dept and Voices in Power, Spectacor Events & Entertainment is proud to provide a platform for the region’s brightest artists.

“Philly’s art scene is among the best in the world, and it deserves to be celebrated,” said Conrad Benner, Founder of Streets Dept. “The Philly Arts & Music Festival will bring together an incredible lineup of artists from all different genres to showcase their work. This is going to be one of the year’s best events, so I am honored to be a part of this celebration of Philly’s robust arts and music culture.”

“Music has the unique ability to bring people from all walks of life in a meaningful way, so I fully expect the Philly Arts & Music Festival to be an enriching experience for the artists and attendees alike,” said Luis Marrero, Founder of Voices in Power. “Philly has no shortage of amazing musical acts, and Trombone Shorty & Orleans Avenue’s genre-defying headlining performance will appeal to attendees of all backgrounds. I look forward to working to bring the best of the best to what is sure to be one of the coolest events of the year.”

The Philly Arts & Music Festival will feature a line-up that appeals to music fans of all tastes with its variety. More details on the line-up will be announced in the coming weeks.

In addition to the diverse music lineup, attendees will have the opportunity to take in the work of local artisans and artists. Philly is home to one of the most robust art scenes in the world; no American city has more murals than Philly. Local artists, artisans, and crafters will have the opportunity to impress festival goers and showcase and sell their one-of-a-kind creations in an artisan village.

No event in Philly would be complete without a tasting of the city’s culinary treats. Festival goers will have their pick of cuisine from the region’s best food trucks. More details on participating trucks will be available in the coming weeks.
