The Chinese Lantern Festival is Back at Franklin Square With 30+ Lanterns
One of Philly’s most popular summertime traditions is back. Franklin Square has announced the return of the Chinese Lantern Festival. This year the lantern festival will run from June 21st-August 7th.
Featuring over 30 larger-than-life lantern displays throughout the square, the festival is a big draw for families as well as those looking for a chill date night. Along with the return of the 200 ft. long dragon the lantern festival also features food vendors as well as mobile bar and plenty of break out areas to sit, relax and take in the sights.
Festival tickets are $20 Sunday-Thursday and $23 Friday and Saturday for adults. Youth tickets (13-17) are $18 Sunday-Thursday and $21 Friday and Saturday. Children tickets (3-12) are $12 while ages 2 and under are free. Senior tickets (Ages 65+) & Active Military (with ID & comes with one guest) will run
$18 Sunday – Thursday. Timed tickets are required on Fridays and Saturdays.You may enter 15 minutes prior to the time on your ticket or any time after. Last entry is at 10:30 p.m. Once inside you may stay to enjoy the Festival for as long as you like. Tickets are available here.
