The Barnes Will be Hosting a Special Valentine’s Day Experience With Food, Specialty Cocktails, & Live Music
With Valentine’s Day around the corner, you may be looking for a creative date experience to take your significant other to. Well, the Barnes Foundation (2025 Benjamin Franklin Pkwy) is inviting couples out for an evening of food, drinks, music, and of course art. On Wednesday, February 14 from 6:00 to 9:00 PM, The Barnes Valentine’s Dinner Party will offer the opportunity to surround yourself with world class art and architecture, enjoy a deliciously curated menu, and mingle with your Valentines, galentines and palentines. From cocktail hour and a multi-course meal, through after-hours art, Love, The Barnes is a celebration of love and friendship.
The evening will kick off with a special cocktail hour where guests will mix and mingle while enjoying drinks and hors d’oeuvres. This will be followed by the multi-course meal. The Barnes is offering an aphrodisiac-rich, Mediterranean-inspired menu crafted by Constellation Culinary Group and will feature:
o Amuse of Winter Fluke Crudo
o First Course of Warmed Hummus Mezze with roasted fennel & sumac, mint & garlic pesto
o Choice of Entrée including Pan Seared Branzino, Harissa Braised Beef Short Rib or Charred Vidalia Onion
o Sweet Treats including Gilded Chocolate Lava Cake Bites, Blueberry Cheesecake Torte, Spiced Carrot Cake and French Macarons
o Plus, take-home Champagne truffles
For those looking to break their dry January, the Valentine’s Day Dinner Party will also include specialty cocktails with the menu consisting of:
- Long-Turm Relationship with vodka, turmeric, lemon, orange, tonic
- Heart of Gold glittered with rum, turmeric, almond milk, spiced brown sugar
- Bouquet of Roses featuring gin, rose, raspberry, lemon, rose wine
- Nuttin’ but Love with vodka, almond, hazelnut, almond milk
- Elder and Wiser with elderflower liqueur, raspberry, sparkling
- Raspberry Tryst featuring rye whiskey, sweet vermouth, raspberry, orange bitters
Last but not least the vibes. Guests will also be treated to an evening of live upbeat string music by Philadelphia String Quartet. Of course the centerpiece of it all will be the art. After your meal, enjoy an intimate after hours museum experience.
