Mario Lanza, Angelo Dundee, Frankie Avalon, Bobby Rydell, & Eddie Lang are just a few of the slew of notable Italians that hale from Philly. There’s no denying the deep roots and traditions that Italians have here in Philly. Heck they even have a whole neighborhood named after the famous Italian food corridor (Ialian Market). So when it’s time time celebrate their heritage, there’s no festival more “Italian” or more authentic than La Festa.
Now in its 7th Year La Festa will take place Sunday June 4th from 11 am – 7 pm, the festival will stretch along 3 blocks from Broad to Moore on East Passyunk Ave. The flavorful “Ave” will be lined with vendors presenting an assortment of food, crafts, specialty items, wine and beer. Curated by Filitalia International, proceeds from La Festa will go towards the first and only Italian Immigration Museum. So not only will this be a fun filled evening but it’s all for a great cause.
