The pop-up trend seems to be all the rage as of late. Everything seems to be popping-up from pop-up parks, pop-up boutiques and of course pop-up dinners. In a city so stringent on liquor laws, anything pop-up involving drinks and great food is more than welcomed.
This Friday March 13th, Taproom on 19th will host a pop-up dinner at Garage located at 1231 East Passyunk. Owners Michael Strauss and Pete Fry, will be serving three new dishes this at this Friday night event.
The festivities kick-off at 6:00pm at the permanent food truck installed in the Garage dining room – and items are available until they sell out. The menu includes:
* Keilbasa Cheeseburger – with crispy cheese, shaved lettuce, tomato, onion, pickle, special sauce, Swiacki Meats keilbasa and Martin potato. $6.00
* Queso Frito – fried cheese with Pete’s famous salsa. $5.00
* Mexican Grilled Zucchini – with vegan mayo, cotija cheese, cayenne. $4.00
So if you’re in the mood for great eats, great drinks, and a cool ass atmosphere, then make sure you’re in South Philly for this awesome event.
