Valentine’s Day has always been marketed to promote flowers, jewelry, and run-of-the-mill chocolate. However, one local bake shop has disrupted the lovey-dovey parade with some x-rated treats.

Cake Life Bake Shop (1306 Frankford Ave.), is a small-batch artisanal bakery and all-day café located in Fishtown. However, if you’re a Beyonce fan then you’ll know this shop as one of B’s go-to bakeries when in town, twice ordering the Funfetti cake for her birthday.

Either way Cake Like is looking to once again add some spice to your Valentine’s Day with some blush-worthy cookies.  The famed Conversation Heart Sugar Cookies are back with an option of sweet or spicy with spicy featuring more X-rated phrases that are sure to heat up any Valentine’s Day activities.

Sweet or Spicy conversation cookies come in packs of three with the sweet pack featuring messages such as “I Love You,” “XOXO,” and “Cutie Pie.”

The “spicy” 3-pack offers the just that, spicy messages such as “Pound Town,” “Eat Me,” and “Giddy Up.” The Fishtown bakery will be offering cookies with house-picked messages for in-store pick-up – custom messaging is available for pre-order only.

We’re excited to make your holiday even sweeter, whether you’re shopping for a partner, friend, or family member,” says Nima Etemadi, Co-Founder and CEO of Cake Life Bake Shop. “I know the Hallmark holiday has its loyal fans and haters, but desserts are for everyone!
