Sunflower Philly is Hosting ¡Presente!: A Latine/x Heritage Celebration With Food, Vendors, Live Paintings and More

Hispanic Heritage Month is in full swing and for those looking to celebrate the food, art and music of the Hispanic community, Sunflower Philly (1725 N 5th St.) will be hosting ¡Presente!: A Latine/x Heritage Celebration on October 2nd from 12 pm to 4 pm.

Guests will be able to celebrate the history, traditions and the diversity of the culture in the Latinx/e communities. This event encourages conversations around identity, intersectionality, and what does it mean to be a part of the Latinx/e community. For food look for popular Port Richmond Mexican restaurant Nemi as well as gluten free and vegan treats from Tres Fiori.

“We invite all heritages, cultures, and diasporas from or with ancestors from the Americans, Caribbean and Hispanics. There will be local food, artists vendors, live entertainment, activities, education resources, live mural paintings by Pew Fellow Cesar Viveros, sugar skull demonstration and more. So come as you are. We’re here and not going anywhere. This month is to be celebrated, remembered and honored, states organizer Cindy Ngo.
