Sunday Funday, Anyone? Radio Fresca Returns: A Tulum-Inspired Rooftop Party Blending Global Beats with Philly Flavor

Philly’s Sunday day party scene is getting a fresh jolt of energy with the return of Radio Fresca, the rooftop celebration dedicated to movement, music, and community. On Sunday, August 10th from 4 to 10 p.m., the third and final summer edition of this party series takes over El Techo, the breezy rooftop lounge perched above Condesa at 1830 Ludlow Street.

 Curated by Valerie Teachout (@extrablondeevents), Ben Arsenal (@benarsenal), and KSpence (@kspencemedia) in partnership with @eltechophilly, Radio Fresca draws inspiration from the energy of Mexico City, the vibe of Tulum, and a playlist that spans the globe, the event is designed to bring people together under one beat — and one sunset.

“We wanted to create a space where people don’t just show up, they show out — where dance floors feel like community spaces,” says Val states. “Philly’s day party scene has seen some setbacks in recent years, and we wanted to build something from the ground up in a venue that matches our vision.”

The DJ lineup is stacked with local and international tastemakers including:

• @ashana.dj, of Spice Wave Events

• @djmenace316, whose Colombian roots bring rhythm and power to every set

• @djroyale_, from the Bonita Sound collective

• @dev_phl, a Philly favorite for high-energy house and hip-hop mashups

Live performances elevate the vibe with drums by @pierre_paloma, sax from @thebasskitty, and show-stopping dance moments by @auroraentertains. And yes — @phillybubbleman will be on hand, adding his signature dreamy touch to the rooftop air.
