Stratus Rooftop is Celebrating the Solstice With a Sunset Soirée Featuring an Open Bar, Live Music, Food & More
Stratus Rooftop Lounge located on the 11th floor of the Kimpton Hotel Monaco (433 Chestnut St.) in Old City, is saying farewell to summer and welcoming the autumn equinox with its inaugural Sunset Soirée on Friday, September 15 from 6 – 8PM for a VIP party and select open bar, followed by 9PM – 2AM for General Admission. Those attending the VIP portion of the soirée can expect a live band, lawn games, two-hour open bar, pay-as-you-go specialty cocktails and fare, and much more.
This Old City’s rooftop bar is set to transform for the evening on Friday, September 15 to include hyper-seasonal decor elements “that embody the essence of summer, encouraging locals and visitors to celebrate the final days of the season in style.” Similar in fashion to the highly successful annual Spring Awakening, held at that start of spring as a kick off to the seasons ahead, Sunset Soirée looks to provide guests with a fun-filled evening with live entertainment, interactive games and activities, boozy beverages, and so on. Tickets for the VIP experience from 6 – 8PM are priced at $30 per person which includes select open bar, Philly-based R&B band Suede Lace, access to a variety of lawn games such as corn hole and giant Jenga.
Following, Stratus Rooftop Lounge will open the party to the general public with a $10 cover charge starting at 9PM.Guests can enjoy live acts such as LED wing performers and DJ Capps spinning vinyl, and sip on seasonal craft cocktails courtesy of Lead Bartender Patrick Banko and snack on a plethora of small plates — both of which available for purchase à la carte, in addition to Stratus Rooftop Lounge’s full bar.
