President-elect Joe Biden and Future First Lady Dr. Jill Biden Will Be Volunteering at Philabundance for MLK Day of Service project. Philadabundance which helps with hunger relief is the largest organization if its kind in the region. “On Jan. 18, we’ll be partnering with organizations across the country to organize service events focused on COVID-19 relief efforts, we hope you can help.”” Biden stated.
Just last month the organization was hit hard by hackers. The hackers used an email phishing scam to infiltrate the organization and when it was all said and done they made off with $923,533. Since then the community and the country responded with an outpour of support.
In addition to the visit today President-elect Biden will also be meeting with his transition team today ahead of Wednesday’s inauguration.
