Philly’s Favorite Filipino Pop-Up Restaurant, Pelago is Back With Another Dinner!
It’s 2017 and Pelago is back to take over Restaurant Neuf in the Italian Market (943 S. 9th St.) with Chef Mark Osunero of The Bonney Read in Asbury Park. The Pelago pop up dinner branded as “New Year Who Dis?” will feature an appetizer, two courses, and desert. Holding true to their roots, Pelago will offer a fun and creative menu with exotic dishes to indulge any foodie palate.
It all goes down Monday January 23rd with two seating times. The first seating is at 5:30-6 pm and the second seating is 7:30-8pm. The experience will be a pocket friendly $45. Reservations start Tuesday January 10th at 1 pm and can be made here.
If you haven’t been to a Pelago pop up, you’ve definitely been missing out. The atmosphere is always chill and hip without trying too hard. As they state it themselves, “Pelago Pop-Up Kusina seeks to articulate the Filipino culinary culture within the context of the American Mid-Atlantic region. We use kitchen techniques adapted from myriad other cooking traditions to manipulate locally sourced, grown, and produced ingredients in an effort to coax out flavors familiar to the Filipino palate and emotions common to Filipinos living in diaspora. Think, a Filipino family party on an urban farm in West Philly with all your Titas doing line dances and your cousins bumpin’ to stoop jams. But also kinda fancy.” Check out the full menu below.
