Philly Tasting Room, Art in the Age Launches a New Whiskey “Graverobber” Complete With A Ghost Walking Tour!
Art in the Age, Philadelphia’s one-of-a-kind tasting room, home bar supply and bottle shop, is excited to announce the launch of Graverobber Unholy Rye, a limited-edition rye whiskey infused with maple syrup extracted from unmarked graveside maple trees on Great Hill Farm – Art in the Age distillery property in New Hampshire.
Graverobber Unholy Rye is a devilishly drinkable 90-proof three-year old rye whiskey with a unique flavor profile of charred oak and burnt sugar. The aromas of cinnamon and dried orange peel as well as rye cracker and hints of maple make it a fun and full-bodied tasting experience for whiskey-lovers and rookies alike. The sweet yet unholy maple soothes the burn from the peppery rye and gives way to a warm and long finish.
“Graverobber is the perfect release for the spooky season,” said Emily Rodia, Store Manager at Art in the Age. “It is not just a wickedly delicious spirit, but it also tells a haunting story about tapping graveyard maples, a process that has long been feared for risk of disturbing the dead.”
The release will be celebrated with a haunted Graverobber Ghost Tour through historic Old City, Philadelphia on Thursday, October 3 from 6-9 pm. Guests are invited to join Art in the Age on a walking tour with stops at some of Philadelphia’s most haunted places such as Powel House, Christ Church Burial Grounds, and the Unearthed Forgotten Cemetery, before sitting down at Art in the Age to taste the new spirit and learn more about the background story of the whiskey. Tickets are available here. Graverobber Unholy Rye will be available at the store for a limited time at a retail price of $65.
Additionally, Graverobber-infused cocktails will be served at Philadelphia’s spookiest and newest pop-up bar HAUNT, on the second floor of The Pearl Tavern on 1123 Walnut Street through November 3r
