Philly Cider Week is Back With a Special Ciderfest Celebration and a Fall Street Fest
If you’re a fan of ciders, then chances are you’ve checked out the Philly Cider Week. What started off five years ago as grown into an annual event that has featured some of the area’s best wines and ciders. This year’s Cider Week will run October 21st through the 29th.
Cider Week along with Home Brewed Events are kicking off Cider Week with a special Ciderfest celebration at Woodford Mansion (2300 N 33rd St.) on Saturday October 21st from 1 pm – pm. Guests will get to check enjoy a picnic lunch and charcuterie board from Charming Charcuterie (available for purchase at the event) while sipping some of Philly’s finest ciders, wine, and cider-cocktail with live music as the backdrop. In addition, beekeepers will be onsite for demonstrations. Proceeds will benefit Woodford’s preservation and renovations to protect the vast stories of this historic landmark. Event is rain or shine.

Cider Week will then go out with a bang with its PCW Finale Fall Street Fest on on October 29th from 12pm-6pm on 7th Street (between South & Fitzwater). The festival is free to attend however it will be ticketed for those looking to enjoy 12oz samples. Tickets will be $18 for GA ($20 day of event), $16 early bird until October 15th.
Guests will get to enjoy bluegrass music all afternoon from acts such as Chuck Darwin & The Knuckledraggers and The Cheddar Boys, while sipping, eating, and shopping local artists, artisans, and vintage sellers. Local businesses will also be on-hand with plenty of additional offerings. Food vendors such as Kampar Kitchen, The Good King Tavern, Flakley-gluten free bakery, and Hip Hemp Cafe will be there to serve the crowds.
