Philly-Based Foodie Magazine Stereo Flavors is Hosting a 5th Issue Launch Party With Food, Drinks, and DJs
Back in 2022 Steve Martinho took his love for food to the next level by venturing into the the world of print magazine. While most foodies create social media accounts and produce digital content, Steve launched a physical magazine dubbed Stereo Flavors.
“I would describe Stereo Flavors as a hyper-local Philly food zine that highlights humans in the industry and contains editorials, recipes, and scannable playlists curated by restaurant industry workers. I wanted to combine my love of food and print design. There needed to be a shift in food media. I see a lot of more popular restaurants being highlighted, but no one is talking about your local corner store, which has really great pastelitos, and asking how that came about,” Steve descibes.
Now with issue 5 on the way, Steve and Underground Concepts are looking to celebrate with a launch party on Thursday May 2nd at foundation. & broad hall. located in the Devine Lorraine (699 N. Broad St.) The party will take place 7-10 pm
The event is free to attend and will feature a curated food and drink menu and plenty of dancing. The first 75 people to RSVP will get a grab bag with both zines and more. The remainder of the issues will be first come, first serve. Reservations can be made at stereoflavors.com/flavorclub/
“As for Stereo Flavors’ future, it’s just a passion project for now, but things are starting to move slowly into the video space. This year, I launched my first episode of ‘Flavor Trippin’ featuring Paffuto in South Philly. I aim to do a lot more of that along with events. I love getting everyone together and meeting new people. I’ve always been big on connecting other humans. That’s one of the reasons I’m doing this event,” Steve adds.
