Oysterfest Returns to the Reading Terminal Market With a Dozen Local Oyster and Craft Beer Pairings
Reading Terminal Market, in partnership with Pearl’s Oyster Bar and Molly Malloy’s, is bringing back Oysterfest, the sellout fundraiser featuring a dozen pairings of locally harvested oysters and locally source microbrews. Only 200 tickets are available for this exclusive after-hours event happening on Thursday, November 2 from 7 pm to 9 pm.
Fresh, New Jersey oysters from Barnegat Oyster Collective and regional craft beer from Molly Malloy’s will be served along with scratch made New England clam chowder from Pearl’s Oyster Bar. Second-generation owner, Dave Braunstein, whose family took over Pearl’s in 1981, has ushered the long-standing Reading Terminal restaurant into a new era and is a key contributor to this year’s event. The Barnegat Oyster Collective is a farm-to-to table aquaculture organization dedicated to connecting oyster lovers to the diverse products of New Jersey’s pristine Barnegat Bay. Molly Malloy’s is generously donating 12 varieties of craft beer ranging from pilsners and IPA’s to sours and stouts.
Oysterfest debuted in 2013 and quickly became a beloved annual tradition. The 2023 event will mark the return of the tradition for the first time since the COVID-19 pandemic began. Net proceeds from Oysterfest will benefit the Reading Terminal Market Corporation, the non-profit tasked with stewarding the mission of the 130-year-old public market.
