Old City’s Art in the Age is Teaming Up With Philly Cheese School For a Special Cheese & Cocktail Workshop
Philly Cheese School, the LGBTQ+ and woman-owned business offering fun and informative classes on how to serve, pair, and enjoy cheese, is teaming up with Philly’s one-of-a-kind tasting room, home bar supply, and bottle shop Art in the Age for an un-brie-lievable two-part series dubbed Curds and Cocktails, on Tuesday, October 18 at 7pm and Thursday, October 27 at 6pm. Imbibers and fromage-enthusiasts can come together for two workshops centered around how to pair a variety of dairy delicacies with thoughtfully (and uniquely) crafted cocktails while simultaneously celebrating fall flavors.
The inaugural cheese and cocktails workshop will be hosted by Art in the Age (116 N 3rd St) on Tuesday, October 18 at 7pm in the expansive tasting room, led by top tier in-house mixologists who have been challenged to create and mix cocktails to pair with Philly Cheese School Founder Julia Birnbaum’s favorite fall cheeses. Attendees can expect three artisan cheeses paired with three craft spirits and cocktails, an interactive and educational conversation with industry experts, and eligibility for an AITA X PCS mystery gift (valued at $50). Tickets are priced at $60/person, and are available for purchase HERE.
Following, the second part of the Curds & Cocktails workshop will take place at the newly-minted Philly Cheese School (701 S 9th St) on Tuesday, October 27 at 6pm, where the script will be flipped and Birnbaum will be challenged to pair cheese with a flight of one-of-a-kind cocktails curated by mixologists from Art in the Age. In addition to learning about cheese, spirits, and how to perfectly pair cocktails and fromage from industry professionals — guests attending both workshops will receive the AITA X PCS mystery gift. Tickets are priced at $60/person, and are available for purchase HERE.
