The Eagles have really shook things up over the past few years. Departing ways with Reid, hiring a college coach, as well as releasing pro-bowlers Mike Vick and DeSean Jackson. Fans are on edge today as one of the key drafts in Eagle’s history takes place tonight. This will be Chip Kelly’s first NFL draft so it will serve as a litmus test for his eye for talent.
With Foles’ job pretty much secure at QB, the Eagles must address the wide receiver position desperately. DeSean leaves a huge gap in offense that the Eagles must fill. Many fans are urging for a big framed wideout that will go across the middle. This is something the Eagles have been lacking over the years.
The Eagles will be picking at 22nd and 54th for the first two rounds. Many NFL experts and insiders are pointing to Marqise Lee out of USC. Marqise who operated out of the west coast offense in USC has the speed that Chip Kelly is known to look for. Running a 4.52 at the combine with a 38″ vertical, he could be a great fit for the Eagles. However, at only 6′ tall he lacks the height that the Eagles wide receiving core desperately needs.
Should Lee be the 22nd pick? Let us know your thoughts.
