New Empanada Company “East Coast Empanadas” is Hosting a Pop-up This Weekend at Ortlieb’s!
Who doesn’t love a great empanada? Well, lucky for us this weekend an empanada pop-up is going down at Ortlieb’s (847 N. 3rd St.) in Northern Liberties. Daniel Esposito and Jennifer Gleason who both worked for the former restaurant El Sitio in Jersey have branched off to create their empanada venture, East Coast Empanadas.
The duo now serves empanadas via delivery and of course through various pop-ups around town. The Ortlieb’s pop-up takes place Saturday April 10th from noon to 6 pm. Guests will be able to pick from four options:
- Seasoned Chicken with traditional aji sauce
- Spinach & Feta with traditional aji sauce
- Philly cheesesteak with sriracha ketchup
- BBQ Pulled Pork with honey BB2 sauce
Empanadas will be sold two for $7, six-pack for $19 or a dozen for $36. Pre-orders are now available via their Instagram.
