New Center City Burger Spot “DBG” Will Sell The City’s Most Expensive Burger That Comes With Louis XIII
Attention foodies, especially burger lovers. Drury Beer Garden has just changed concepts and will now be Philly’s newest burger spot, DBG (1311 Sansom St.) which will sell the city’s most expensive and as well as happy hour burgers and everything in between.
Brother and sister owners George Tsiouris and Vasiliki Tsiouris-Balis recently announced the change and will launch DBG Friday May 19th and to celebrate the first 50 guests at happy hour between 4:00pm to 7:00pm, will receive a complimentary Happy Hour Smash Burger on the house.
DBG will feature over 15 signature burgers including the Gold Standard Burger which will go for a whopping $700. In contrast DBG will also offer their Happy Hour Smash Burger for $2.95, plus lamb, vegan, cheesesteak, pizza, french onion and dessert burgers.
So what’s in a $700 burger you may ask? “The Gold Standard Burger’s” ingredients are some of the highest quality products available,” DBG states. It includes Eight ounces of Japanese A5 ribeye wagyu, Wexford aged Irish Cheddar cheese, Italian Black Truffle, Italian Caviar, lobster meat flambéed with Louis XIII Cognac, Wildflour Bakery brioche bun topped with gold leaf and fries drizzled with 1500+MGO Manuka Honey. Furthermore, the Gold Standard Burger is served with a one ounce pour of Louis XIII cognac, which retails for nearly $5,000 a bottle.
The revamped menu will also include new appetizers and starters, side dishes, salads, handhelds and entrees, plus new cocktails, seltzers, beers, and wines. Cocktails include the Dragon Fruit Coconut Mojito, coconut fat-washed rum, dragon fruit, mint; the Philly Dilly, Jameson, pickle juice, black pepper, cucumber shooter with extra whiskey and the No Money, No Honey, beeswaxed-bulleit, orange blossom water, luxardo cherry, and an edible 100 dollar bill.
The space will still offer it’s outdoor seating in the rear for summer time vibes. DBG will also feature DJ line-ups for Center City Sips and new nightlife line-ups and schedules coming soon.
Hours of operation are Wednesday-Thursday 4:00pm to 1:00am, Friday 4:00pm to 2:00am, Saturday, 12:00pm to 2:00am and Sunday 12:00pm to 10:00pm. The kitchen closes nightly at 10:00pm.
