Since its opening Miss Saigon (1316 Walnut St.) has been making a name for itself in both the food and nightlife space. Now this trendy Center City spot is looking to offer patrons a whole new experience with their upcoming collaboration with award winning Washington D.C Filipino eatery Tiki on 18th.

The special Kamayan Dinner Experience will take place on Sunday June 9th with two time slots, 5:30 pm and 7 pm.  All guests would only use their bare hands to eat more than 14 courses, off of the table covered with banana leaves, and a wonderful spread of delicious food from two southeast Asian countries.

The curated menu was put together by both Miss Saigon chef Tommy Tran and Tiki on 18th’s  Jo-Jo Valenzuela and will feature:

Dynamite – pork & mushroom stuffed finger pepper spring rolls

Hàu Phô Mai- oysters with cheese

Cá Chiên- fried fish (striped bass)

Tôm Càng Xanh- giant river prawns, Saigon-style sauce, lime, onion, herbs

Bach Tuôc Nuóng- grilled octopus, chili lime sauce

Chao Tôm- Vietnamese sugar cane srimp

Assorted Fruit- Watermelon, melon, yellow mango, jackfruit, lychee

Inihaw Na Baboy-bbq-glazed pork belly

Beef Tapa- garlic-soy shaved ribeye

Chickcharon-crispy chicken skins

Ginataang Sitaw-long beans sauteed in shrimp paste & coconut milk

“Jo-Jo Valenzuela (of Tiki on 18th) and I have worked together on and off for the past 20 plus years. Even though he is in DC and I live in Philly, we both have restaurants now so why not do a collaboration,” stated Miss Saigon’s GM Chuong Nguyen.

Tickets to the dinner are $75 per person and available on Eventbrite.
