MilkBoy South Street is Hosting an End-Of-Summer BBQ Block Party With Vendors and Live Music
We have about a month left of summer and to usher in the fall, MilkBoy South Street (401 South St.) is looking to host an end-of-summer bash in store for locals and visitors with the second installment of MilkBoy Summer BBQ, a day-long block party featuring food and drink specials, local vendors, live entertainment, and one dunk tank with proceeds benefiting Philly PAWS. The BBQ bash is slated for Saturday, August 26 from 2 – 8PM and will encompass the 400 block of South Street.
This pedestrian-only BBQ bash will take place on South Street between 4th and 5th Streets, and will boast an extensive selection of food and booz courtesy of MilkBoy South Street and a host of local vendors and food trucks.
MilkBoy’s own Chef Eric Richardson will be posted street-side grilling hot dogs, hamburgers, and other BBQ staples, and MilkBoy will offer drink specials from the newly-launched seasonal cocktail menu including Blueberry Rhapsody (vodka, blueberry simple syrup, lemonade), Citrus Sinatra (tequila, triple sec, blood orange juice, lime juice, agave), and Black Magic Brewtini, a classic Espresso Martini utilizing Bean2Bean Espresso Concentrate. Select draft beers from sponsors Dogfish Head Brewery, Troegs Independent Brewing, and Founders Brewing will be featured, as well as canned beverages from Stateside Vodka, Twisted Tea, Liquid Death and Jägermeister.
“We’re pumped to be hosting another round of MilkBoy Summer BBQ with the goal of having our neighbors, friends, and new guests come out for a fun-filled summer Saturday,” said Cory Elmi, General Manager at MilkBoy South Street. “All are invited to eat delicious BBQ and drinks, check out our local vendors and also neighboring businesses along South Street this weekend.”
Additionally, live entertainment and activities for folks of all ages will be available including DJ Maxx Staynoff-Williams (frontman of Black Landlord and former member of the Goats) spinning tunes, and a dunk tank on-site featuring $1 throws with all proceeds benefiting Philadelphia Animal Welfare Society (PAWS).
MilkBoy Summer BBQ is open to the public and free to attend with pay-as-you-go offerings and activities.
