Martha in Kensington is Collabing With Philly’s Chicken Man to Serve Chicken Martinis For Charity
Remember that guy who went viral for eating 40 rotisserie chickens in 40 days? Well, his name is Alexander Tominsky and he has since been dubbed The Chicken Man. Tominsky works in the restaurant industry and is once again putting his love for chicken on display for a great cause. On Friday January 13th, Martha (2113 E. York St.) will be serving special chicken martinis and all proceeds from the drinks will go to local Philly community fridges.
The special chicken martinis will cost $10 and will be served on a first come, first served basis while supplies last. To pair with the martinis, Chef Andrew Magee will be serving a Rotisserie Chicken hoagie a la the style of a Waldorf Salad. It is Zig Zag BBQ smoked chicken thigh, black walnut, cran-grape, and Asian pear. “It’s a fancy-ish version of a classic Waldorf chicken salad dressed with a dijonaise style dressing with lots of black pepper,” states Martha. “We are hoping folks keep in mind that this is a fundraiser event. Chicken Martini’s might not be for everyone, but drinking one is for a good cause,” they add.
Martha will be open noon til 1:30 am so there will be plenty of times to try this unique drink and help raise money for great organizations.
