Manayunk’s Winter Festival, Founders Philly Freeze-Out Will Feature 25+ Ice Sculptures, Food & Drink Specials, a Chowder Crawl, & More
When it comes to winter festivals, Manayunk’s annual Founders Philly Freeze-Out has everything you want for winter weather fun. Taking place February 1st from 11 am -4 pm, Founders Philly Feeze-Out brought to you by Founders Brewing will turn Manyaunk into a winter wonderland feature over 25 ice sculptures, a winter market, traditional lion dance, plenty of food & drink specials, and a chowder crawl.
The star of the event will be Ice Sculpture Philly’s live ice sculpting along with 25+ ice sculptures that will be located along Main Street. In addition to Manayunk’s many local shops, a winter market will be popping up at Richards Apex (4710 Main St.) The curated market will host local artisans and makers of all kinds offering items like fresh focaccia, home goods, prints, ceramics, planters, upcycled clothing, gourmet pickles, candles, doggie bandanas, and more.

As with every year, The Manayunk Freeze Out will also have a chowder crawl featuring some of Manayunk’s best eateries serving up special chowder including Lucky’s Last Chance, Bar Jawn, The Goat’s Beard, Mia Ragazza, JD McGillicuddy’s, Winnie’s Manayunk, Ryan’s Pub, Taqueria Amor, and more to be announced. The chowder crawl is ticketed with a $18 free. Tickets can be purchased on Eventbrite.
For those looking to enjoy some of the best food Manayunk has to offer, guests will be able to take advantage of many food and Founders Beer specials at participating bars. In addition food trucks will also be on-hand for additional options.
Last but not least for those who enjoy a nice brisk run, the Freeze Out Fun Run hosted by Philadelphia Runner will take place at 9AM and will cover 3 miles. “Bundle up and come to Main Street to catch live ice carving demonstrations, incredible ice sculptures, Founders beer specials in restaurants and bars, lion dancing, a snowy igloo, the Manayunk Chowder Crawl, giveaways, a Winter Market, and more. This is a family-friendly event, so bring the whole gang,” organizers stated.
