Liverpool Fans Are Hosting a Series of Events Including Open Practice, Meet & Greets, & More Ahead of The Match VS. Arsenal
Looks like football is back at The Linc sooner than we thought. Okay, it’s not the Eagles but rather two of the top Premier League teams are crossing the pond to play a match at Lincoln Financial Field on July 31st. That’s right Liverpool will be playing Arsenal and for Liverpool supporters get ready for a series of fan-friendly events organized by the OLSC Philadelphia (Official Liverpool Supporters Club of Philadelphia).
July 28th
Liverpool will host an open training at The Linc similar to Eagles open practice from 11 am to 12 pm. Then from 3pm -6pm enjoy a meet and greet at Cavanaugh’s Headhouse ( 421 S 2nd St.) with fellow LFC supporters.
July 29th
OLSC Philadelphia will host two events at Plough and the Stars (123 Chestnut). The first event kicks-off at 6:15 pm for a fundraiser event featuring a meet and greet with LFC legends John Barnes and Gary McAllister. This will be followed with more talks featuring Keith Pompey, Renee Washington and Kevin Kinkead from crossing broad.
July 30th
Enjoy a free event at The Fillmore 9AM – 12 PM featuring Susannah fuller, current and former players and music by Jamie Webster. Then at 7 pm OLSC Philadelphia are hosting an event with a live show featuring The Anfield Wrap at Brauhaus Schmitz (718 South St.). TAW are known as the authorities on all things Liverpool which includes podcasting.
July 31st
The official tailgate will be at 2 pm. LFC will be hosting a fan park in the Linc beginning at 5 p.m with music, trophies, players, games, and more.
“It really is a cool opportunity with Philly entering the soccer spotlight with the World Cup in 2026. Part of the evening will be fundraising for the LFC Foundation, which is LFC’s charity and benefits various communities in America (they are owned by an American group). We will be raffling various items including autographed items. There is no fee but we are asking for a donation to the LFC foundation from anyone willing to do so,” stated Lou Vogel, chair of OLSC Philadelphia
