Laurel Hill Cemetery’s “Cinema in the Cemetery” is Back With Movies, Vendors, Food Trucks, Tarot Readings & More
Each summer movie buffs flock to Laurel Hill Cemetery (3822 Ridge Ave.) for their annual Cinema in the Cemetery series presented by the Philadelphia Film Society. Movie goers are invited to bring their chairs, blankets, snacks, and drinks and enjoy curated movies for a one-of-a-kind experience.
This summer Laurel Hill will feature two horror flicks, well the one is a comedy horror for those looking for a scare and a laugh. On Friday June 21st Cinema in the Cemetery will feature Midsommar in which daylight illuminates the horrors that unfold at a cult festival in Sweden. Then get ready for the dark comedy horror film Vampire’s Kiss on Friday July 26th.
Both evening programs will begin at 7 pm with the following:
7:00 PM Popup market featuring local artists, vendors of spiritual goods, and tarot reading
8:00 PM Movie inspired Trivia inspired hosted by the Philadelphia Film Society, with prizes
8:30 PM Film Screening
with food trucks and beverages from Philadelphia Brewing Company.
