Kalaya is Collaborating With Kismet Bagels For a 2 Day Thai Inspired Bialy Specials at Reading Terminal Market
Kismet Bagels is no stranger when it comes to collabs. The husban and wife duo, Jacob and Alexandra Cohen have teamed up with a variety of chefs in Philly but this time it will be with James Beard Award winning chef Chutatip ‘Nok’ Suntaranon of Kalaya.
Foodies can expect a trio of Thai-inspired bialys which will be available only on Saturday, September 30th and Sunday, October 1 at the Kismet Bialys stall at the intersection of Avenues B and 2 inside within the Reading Terminal Market in Philadelphia.
The three bialys that will be for sale Saturday and Sunday (from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. or sellout) are:
-Thai chili bialy dough filled with chili jam schmear, shrimp, scallion, onion
-Five spice bialy dough filled with braised pork belly, pickled mustard greens, cilantro
-Standard dough bialy filled with butterfly pea flower whipped ricotta, ground chicken, sweet radishes, garlic, shallot
Previous bialy collaborations have seen Kismet Bagels and Kismet Bialys team up with Amanda Shulman of Her Place Supper Club, Yehuda Sichel of HUDA, Mike Strauss of Mike’s BBQ, Frank Olivieri of Pat’s King of Steaks, Dave Quaile of Freelance Pizza, Dominc Rocconi (Hoagie Dom), Henry Morgan of Homeroom in Gladwyne, and Spataro’s Cheesesteaks. Kismet Bagels and Suntaranon collaborated on three different Thai-inspired bagel sandwiches in 2021.
