Irv’s Ice Cream at Cherry Street Pier is Offering Free Ice Cream for the First 50 People During National Ice Cream Day
Philly’s newest ice cream vendor wants to show everyone just how great their ice cream is and what better way than to give it away for free in celebration of National Ice Cream Day.
On Sunday July 21st from 11 am to 9 pm the first 50 people to swing by Irv’s Ice Cream located at the newly dubbed La Placita in Cherry Street Pier will receive a complimentary kiddie-size ice cream in a cone or cup.
Owned and operated by former pastry chef Ilissa Shapiro, Irv’s Ice Cream serves up hand spun ice cream in a variety of unique flavors. The menu includes coquito, horchata, chocolate pb brownie, lemon blueberry, rum raisin, margarita sorbet, watermelon sorbet, and many more.
Opened in May, Irv’s is apart of a collection food vendors operating out of repurposed trolleys and includes Mexican food restaurant Cantina La Martina as well as their newly opened Puerto Rican venture La Placita.
