There are plenty of cutesy Valentine’s Day events but have you ever been to an anti-Valentine’s Day? Well the local non profit First Person Arts, has curated just that and on Wednesday, February 14th (Valentine’s Day) they will be hosting the 14th Anual EX-FILES at Underground Arts (1200 Callowhill St.) from 8pm-10pm.
Get ready for some piping hot tea as guests share their terrible experiences with their exes. Think of this as an open mic for story telling. Participants will have 5 minutes to share a 100% true, personal story to entertain the “most engaged audience in Philly.” No notes or props allowed.
Real-life couple, Dr. Neil Bardhan and Kelsey Stewart will host and keep score as Philly gets real about true loves lost and found. The judges, comic Lamarr Todd, a mystery guest judge, and an audience judge help score the stories and give storytellers helpful hints on how to improve their tales. The winner takes home $100 and bragging rights until next month.
